There is no opposition to moving the date to April.  Process needs to make it through JCAR. The issue of captain’s giving away their limits is currently on the “back-burner” for now.  Please discuss the issue with others to get a better feel of the situation and where the organization should take it. Discussion concerning the issue of dredging: The Corp of Engineers is pushing to dredge during the spawn…many questions are still unanswered concerning funding, and where the dredge will take place.   Lengthy discussion revolving around limits and whether or not this is promoting negative press.  Reminder that once a decision is made, it can only be overturned by an executive order by the Governor.  We need to come up with a plan.  The Board would like to see something in writing for the next meeting.  A motion to persue the issue made by Dave Whitt seconded by Charlie Eulitt.  Passed by the Board.   Saturday, September 26 will be the U. S. Sportsman Alliance in Columbus. This is a big event.  Board approved the buying of a table at the event for $500. President Unger will once again try to contact Bob Collins on the transfer of the website information that belongs to the LECBA. Mike Matta and Ron Eickholt will be getting together to submit names for the upcoming Charter Captain of the Year award.  Possible nominations should be submitted soon. Elections for the upcoming year:There are currently six (6) Board member positions that will be up for election this year.  Charlie Eulitt will head the committee if not up for re-election.  If you are interested in running, please contact President Unger at 216-401-6231 get your name on the ballot. Mike Matta invited all to attend an Ohio Republican meeting on Wednesday, September 16.  Issues that concern charter boats will be presented at the meeting. The next meeting will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Island House Restaurant. Motion to adjourn made at 7:30 PM by Dan Welsh, seconded by Charlie Eulitt.
